Latvian Radio Big Band at jazzahead!

Latvian Radio Big Band was widely represented at the largest European jazz fair jazzahead!, which was held from 19 to 22 April in Bremen where the team presented its latest projects and published music album "Latvian Jazz Suite Vol.2", which was created by young Latvian musicians and composers Rūdolfs Macats, Matīss Čudars and Krists Auznieks.  

The band presented their latest musical projects to the world's jazz industry - the trombonist and composer David Gibson has made arrangements for big band and the American singer Shenel Johns in the program G.Gershwin 120, with a premier performance on June 28 in the Riga Congress Centre, arrangements of the famous Vince Mendoza will be heard in Richard Bona "African Tales" project, in the concert of the Riga Ritmi Festival on June 7, as well as the project with Randy Brecker on June 24, JazzBaltica, Germany.

jazzahead! is an exhibition and meeting point for the international jazz scene. Since its premiere in 2006, the event has enriched the regional and national cultural scene with its high quality and diverse jazz as well as with international flair. 

With its unique concept combining showcase festival, conference, exhibition and festival – all revolving around the central topic “jazz” – the event has become the must-go networking event for the global jazz scene.
